At home and abroad, Britain’s economy is in trouble. Inflation remains high, debt and deficit levels are elevated, and productivity growth is sluggish. Yields on long-term government debt are higher than in any other major advanced economy. Four in five Britons think the government is mismanaging the economy; hedge fund manager Ray Dalio says the country is trapped in a “doom loop of debt”. Infrastructure and housing projects, which were supposed to be engines of growth, have delivered disappointing results, as we report.

Yet Trump has scored almost no major victories. Mr. Kimmel is back on air; a federal judge mocked the lawsuit from the bench  and who knows how compliant those billionaires will be.
